Medellín, Barranquilla and Bogotá will host the First Study Fair in Spain, an initiative promoted by the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE) and organized by IFEMA with the support of COLFUTURO, a Colombian organization that promotes, guides and finances postgraduate studies in the best universities in the world. The three events will offer a wide representation of Spanish universities and educational entities, explaining their academic offer of degrees and postgraduate degrees, doctorates, masters, specializations and MBA. It will be held in collaboration with the EAFIT University of Medellin, on March 13th; the Universidad del Norte Foundation, in Barranquilla, on March 15th, and the Reyes Católicos Spanish Cultural and Educational Center, in Bogotá, on March 17th.
Spain receives more than 100,000 foreign students every year, of which 40% are Latin American, Colombia being one of the main countries of origin. Spain is the second destination chosen by Colombian students to study abroad, after the United States. This position favors the objective of STUDY IN SPAIN, which aims to bring a wide range of Spanish education opportunities to Colombian students, in addition to strengthening ties with local bodies within the field of education. IFEMA has the endorsement of the Week of Education, the main event for the educational world in the Iberian Peninsula.
In line with the Fairs Study in Spain that SEPIE already developed (Morocco, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay), this initiative aims to promote Spain and its educational centers to Colombian students
