Feriarte 2018 returns to Madrid to showcase the “most exclusive” art and antiques. The fair will be held from November 17th to 25th in IFEMA’s Hall 3.
Feriarte 2018 wants to widen its focus and not only attract collectors and museums. In this edition, it also wants to appeal to private individuals, those with excellent taste and a love for decoration. They will become the focus at a time in which antiques are increasingly found in the most modern and contemporary homes.
Works by El Greco, Sorolla, Picasso, Julio Romero de Torres and Hirst will all be present at this fair.
More than 90 antiques dealers and art galleries will take part in Feriarte 2018, showcasing items over 100 years old: Furniture, decorative items, art collections and jewellery, from Art Decó, Art Nouveau, Edwardian and Alphonsine styles to paintings and sculptures, tribal art and pre-Columbian pieces, etc.
The vast array of items includes work by El Greco, Sorolla, Picasso, Julio Romero de Torres and Hirst; furniture by Jules Leleu, Fornasetti, Perriand and Jacobsen; glass pieces by Émile Gallé; and even archaeological pieces from various ancient civilisations. All of the items on display have been authenticated and certified by a committee of experts comprising more than 40 specialists from different disciplines.
