New era for EXPOTURAL 2019

From 27-29 September, pavilion 1 IFEMA will host the second edition of the Nature, Climate and Sustainable Tourism Fair: EXPOTURAL 2019. The event offers a new approach and introduces new additions, including bringing the event forward, at the request of the exhibitors, and focusing more on business and maximum profitability for participants.

This new event, which will be more commercial and profitable, expects over 25,000 visitors, who can enjoy a wide representation of natural spaces, rural houses and outdoor sports, all aimed at promoting sustainable tourism among the public.

With Nepal as the guest country, the first day of the fair will be aimed at professionals and the press, with presentations about sustainable tourism news, exhibitors’ products and initiatives. The EXPOTURAL 2019 event will then be aimed at the general public, with direct sales and presentations for end customers.

A new, more commercial and profitable edition

The most musical autumn comes to Madrid with IFEMA

After a summer filled with concerts and festivals that have entertained everyone during the hot days in the capital, new festivals and concerts will be held in the Feria de Madrid. An intense schedule, positioning IFEMA as the leading space for holding musical events, aimed at all types of audiences. During the summer, Taburete, Love the Tuenti’s Festival, Playa Cariño and Río Babel received 71,700 music enthusiasts in Feria de Madrid.

Furthermore, the IFEMA Madrid Salvaje will be launched on 4 October, a new festival dedicated to the most powerful urban genres such as trap, rap, rock and hybrid music.

November will start on the 9th with Premier: El Gran Viaje, which will bring the best music from yesteryear with legendary pop and dance groups from the nineties and noughties.

However, these will not be the only musical events of the autumn and winter. IFEMA will soon announce more additions to the music agenda for the last months of the year. All tickets for concerts and festivals are available on IFEMA’s website (, where they can be purchased quickly and securely.

Japan Weekend Madrid returns to IFEMA

The largest Japanese entertainment and culture event, Japan Weekend Madrid, returns to IFEMA on 21-22 September, loaded with innovations in its most special edition ever.

For its tenth anniversary, Japan Weekend will be accompanied by leading artists as guests from Japan and other parts of the world such as RJ Palmer, Gabriel Picolo, THREE1989, Salva Espín or Manuel D’Andrea.

Among the activities that will be carried out are the Asian Cover Dance, Japan Weekend Cosplay Show or the Idol Festival, in which everyone can take part.

Shoesroom by Momad returns to La Nave in September

The International Trade Show for Innovative Footwear and Accessories, Shoesroom by Momad, opens the doors to its second edition from 20-22 September, in a modern and attractive location, La Nave.

The show, organised by IFEMA, launches a new edition after the positive results achieved in its first edition held in March. With over 85 brands taking part and 2,700 buyers, the outlook is promising for this new edition, which will see the continued development of new concepts for professionals within the Footwear sector.

This second edition particularly focuses on strengthening customer relations. Accordingly, initiatives will be launched aimed at retail customer knowledge and segmentation, together with the introduction of new tools such as Meet&Scan.

Our most important aim is brand internationalisation. ShoesRoom by Momad has once again organised the Guest Purchaser Programme. New target countries in Asia and Oceania, such as Thailand, Singapore and Australia have joined this second edition, together with prominent businesses from the LATAM region and Arab countries.

The construction sector comes together in REBUILD 2019

From 17-19 September, IFEMA will host the new edition of REBUILD 2019, the boutique innovation event designed to transform the construction sector, making Madrid the global capital of smart construction.

The aim of the fair is to transform the sector in a new stage, the recovery stage. The 200+ confirmed exhibitors are a true reflection of the optimism that exists in the construction world, with this event bringing together all the links in the value chain. REBUILD 2019 will also attract 9,000 professionals in search of new industrial partners, 3,500 delegates and round 280 international experts as part of the National Congress of Advanced Architecture 4.0 and Construction, with specialised content catering for the individual profiles of the professionals taking part.

Meat Attraction, the event offering the best meats from around the world

Meat Attraction, the International Meat Industry Trade Fair, organised by IFEMA and by the National Association of Meat Industries in Spain (ANICE), will hold its 3rd edition from 17-19 September, with 400 exhibitors expected to take part and 20,000 professionals from 50 countries. Pavilion 12 of IFEMA will host this new edition under the slogan “the event offering the best meats in the world”. The aim is to be a leading commercial instrument for companies and to assist them in their promotion and growth, as well as contributing to positioning the Spanish production and commercial sector as one of the main suppliers in the world.

China will be the Guest Importer Country, given its purchase capacity and enormous opportunities. A special promotion has also been carried out in 15 countries with the aim of consolidating established markets and boosting entry into other emerging markets.

Innovation will also have a strong presence in the Fair. It will incorporate the Innovation Hub, the directory for exhibitors’ innovations or star products. The Accelera Awards for Innovation will also be introduced in this edition, aimed at companies participating in the fair and which offer the best product or service that has been on the market for a maximum period of one year.

With the aim of meeting the increasing demand for organic and Iberian meat products, Meat Attraction will also incorporate two new areas -Ecorganic Market, aimed at companies specialising in these types of products and IbéricoLand, a new monographic and specialist space for companies that sell Iberian Products from cuts of Iberian pigs.

MOMAD presenting swimwear fashion and lingerie in its new edition

MOMAD, the leading commercial fashion event on the Iberian Peninsula, organised by IFEMA, will present its vast and diverse proposals in the clothing industry, with all the market segments represented, and particularly focusing on Swimwear and Lingerie Fashion.

From 12-14 September, MOMAD will occupy pavilions 2, 12 and 14 of Feria de Madrid, offering proposals for Spring-Summer 2020/21 and the Prêt-à-Porter for Autumn/Winter 2019-2020, classified by Fashion styles, in fashion sectors including, Swimwear and Lingerie, Parties and Events, Contemporary, Metro Space, Casual, Urban, Sustainable Fashion, Momad 4.0, with innovative technological solutions for retail, together with Accessories and Footwear.

The focus on the area of Swimwear and Lingerie Fashion, located in pavilion 12, forms part of a line of work focusing on new promotional visual and communication initiatives, implemented by Momad. The aim is to offer professional visitors a wide and varied range of products and brands that meet market requirements, and to facilitate their visit to the fair and optimise their time.

New promotional, visual and communication actions in the area of Swimwear and Lingerie Fashion

Over one thousand companies and brands come together in Intergift, Bisutex and MadridJoya

IFEMA will host three of its most emblematic fairs during September. Intergift (from 11-15 September), Bisutex and MadridJoya (both from 12-15 of September), will transform IFEMA into the epicentre of decoration, costume jewellery and jewellery for a few days, presenting the Autumn-Winter 2019/20 collections, mainly aimed at Christmas and Three Kings campaigns.

Over one thousand companies and brands will take part and it will welcome 41,000 visitors from 70 countries, according to figures from the last meeting, making this commercial event a unique space for professionals to come together and the leading event to showcase trends and new designs. The event will be held at the same time as the MOMAD Fashion fair in Madrid, occupying 10 pavilions in IFEMA.

Intergift, will occupy the odd-numbered wing of the premises for this edition, pavilions 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. The Fair will split the latest trends presented by over 800 companies taking part around seven sectors: Haute Decoration, Deco, Neo, Handmade, Household textiles, Gifts and Bazar.

The International Costume Jewellery and Accessories Fair (Bisutex) will once again offer its wide range of fashion in pavilion 4 in IFEMA. With over 300 companies taking part, it has become the leading event in Spain in the costume jewellery and accessories sector.  Covering an exhibition area of over 8,000 square metres, visitors will be able to find all the latest trends in a universe of accessories, with the collections including: costume jewellery, glasses, belts, scarves, watches, bags, hair accessories, hats, etc.

In turn, the International Urban and Trendy Jewellery and Watch Exhibition (Madrid Joya) will offer the latest trends in haute jewellery, casual and fashion pieces, watches and a whole host of innovative proposals aimed at the Christmas campaign.

Over one thousand companies and brands will take part in these fairs and 41,000 visitors are expected from 70 countries  


The Rio Babel Festival is returning to Madrid to celebrate the third edition from 4 to 6 July. Taking part in this year’s event, designed to connect Spanish and international music, are important artists including Bad Bunny, La Pegatina, Love of Lesbian, Dorian or Pedro Capó.

This eclectic, danceable and extremely fun festival, comes to Madrid with new musical genres such as Latin jazz, indie or reggae. With two stages, 16 concerts and a gastronomic area offering vegan options and, of course, the chill-out area, the Rio Babel Festival is an unmissable event for music lovers. 

Designed to connect Spanish and international music


The 70th edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid will make a triumphant return for the second event of the year with Spain’s fashion show from 5-10 July, which will be held in Feria de Madrid and other venues across the city.

This new edition hopes to be another resounding success based on the positive figures from the January edition, with over 40 international professionals invited, representatives from important points of sale and fashion distribution companies, as well as renowned journalists from Europe, America and Asia, reaching a total of more than 53,477 visitors.

The aim of MBFWMadrid is to extend fashion, in all its forms, throughout the city. Accordingly, on the first day of the event, 5 July, various fashion shows and presentations will be held in different points of the city. From 6-10 July, the fashion shows will be held in Feria de Madrid, specifically in pavilion 14.1, with a number of other fashion shows also be held in other locations.

Over six days, the event’s programme will be filled with the best of Spanish fashion, including the presentation of proposals by top, firmly established creators and also new Made in Spain talents.

The aim of MBFWMadrid is to extend fashion, in all its forms, throughout the city.
